Had you been planning to see Killswitch Engage in the immediate future you’re no doubt painfully aware that the band’s frontman Jesse Leach was set to go under the knife today, April 30th. Leach, who had most recently been tracking the band’s next album, required some last minute surgery for his vocal cords after developing a polyp. The surgery forced the band to cancel their planned shows throughout the past week up to early May.
Leach has since had the procedure done and commented:
“Surgery went well my friends. Time for rest and recovery 🤘🏼
Big thanks to Dr. Woo and the amazing staff at Mount Sinai Hospital. That was a surreal day, I’m glad it’s over and I’m headed home. #UnderTheKnife #VocalSurgery #JesseLeach #Surreal #Surgery #killswitchengage #TimesOfGrace #TheWeapon #Recovery #DestroyEraseImprove”
Leach has stated that he plans to work with vocal coach Melissa Cross to help better take care of his voice and rebuild his vocal strength after he recovers.
