Avenged Sevenfold Hope To Conclude Warner Bros. Lawsuit Before Focusing On Next Album

It seems that Avenged Sevenfold may have to see their legal battle with former label Warner Bros. come to a close before focusing on their next album. The band’s frontman M. Shadows recently told

“We have a couple things we’re looking at, but right now we’re still dealing with the label situation, the lawsuit [with Warner Bros.], so we’ve still got a couple of things we have to clean up before we move on to the next record. For us right now we’re going to do this tour and by the time we get to September we’re either going to South America or we’re not, and if we don’t then we’ll start thinking about the next record.”

While the band formed a partnership with Capitol Records for the release of their latest album “The Stage“, their former label Warner Bros. felt that the band’s attempt to exit their contract together to do so was invalid and launched suit. While that case was originally expected to go to trial in December of last year, it appears to have since been delayed to an as-yet unspecified date. Avenged Sevenfold will be touring with Prophets Of Rage, Three Days Grace and Ho99o9 this summer on this North American tour.
