Though he hasn’t been too vocal on his political leanings in recent months, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst took to social media this weekend to tweet at U.S. President Donald Trump, calling for him “stop this manipulation” and “raise the bar.” His comments came after Trump tweeted about an interview CNN‘s Jake Tapper conducted with White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller. You can read both tweets below.
Of course, when it comes to Trump as of late, the word Russia is rarely far behind, so it’s notable—albeit seemingly irrelevant—that at one point Durst took considerable heat for his ties to Crimea and Russia, which are said to have got him banned from the Ukraine back in 2015.
Please sir, just stop this manipulation and raise the bar. You have this wonderful opportunity to make our world better. We unmistakably need a role model and leader for the now, and the future. This isn’t the way.
