Following the the shocking news that Decapitated were arrested last night, September 09th, for allegedly kidnapping a female after their August 31st show in Spokane, WA, the band’s defense attorney Steve Graham has now spoken to the press.
The group hired him this past Thursday, September 07th, after they became aware of the potential investigation. Speaking with The Spokesman-Review, Graham stated: “There is another side to this. We have witnesses that can testify to the fact that the accuser came to visit band of her own free will and left on good terms.”
He also said that the band’s arrest yesterday in Santa Ana, CA was not entirely necessary, offering: “I made it clear that I could get the guys up here [back To Spokane] ASAP and they would cooperate,” however he apparently did not hear back from the authorities.
He said that the four intend to willingly return to Spokane, WA where they will soon be extradited from the Los Angeles County jail they are currently being held in.
The band are currently facing a potential first degree kidnapping charge with the female victim said to have been held against her will by the band on August 31st. She filed her report with the police the day after on September 01st. The Special Victims Unit is still investigating the case.
