Future Usses have uploaded the below demo version of their song “What Is Anything” which you can take in below. The band feature Intronaut guitarist/vocalist Sacha Dunable, ex-Bereft drummer Derek Donley and former Mouth Of The Architect guitarist Dan Wilburn. Dunable dropped the below update on the band’s current happenings:
“Future Usses is a new band formed by me (Sacha Dunable), along with ex-Bereft (CA) drummer Derek Donley, and former Mouth Of The Architect guitar player Dan Wilburn. I’ve been writing this album on and off for the past three years, and now finally have some time to get it recorded and play some shows.
- Advertisement -What started as late night solo jams between me and a loop pedal has morphed into about an hour’s worth of self-indulgent effect pedal worship, dense melancholic harmony, and punishing slowness, with a lineup rounded out by some of my favorite music buds.
We tracked drums and guitar with Josh Newell, bass with Jon Nunez of Torche, and the rest at Derek‘s studio. The album is being mixed by Kurt Ballou in September. Here is a rough demo of a song called ‘What Is Anything.’
We are working on some more shows, but for now we have a few regional shows booked.”
Current live dates include:
09/15 San Luis Obispo, CA – Skip Gibson’s (feat. Bloodmoon)
09/16 San Jose, CA – The Ritz (feat. High On Fire, Big Business, etc.)
09/17 Los Angeles, CA – Union (feat. Wovoka, Mossbreaker, etc.)
