10 Years Set October Release For New Album, Unveil First Single & Fall Touring Plans With Red

10 Years have announced that their new album “(How To Live) As Ghosts” will be released on October 27th through Mascot Records. The band recorded it with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters). The effort finds the group playing a bit of musical chairs with returning members Brian Vodinh and Matt Wantland back in the fold.

Vodinh handled both the drumming and the guitar in the studio, though will only be taking on the guitar duties at upcoming live shows. Wantland resumes his role on guitars, while previous guitarist Chad Huff has shifted to bass. Drummer Kyle Mayer will remain onboard for future live shows as well. Vocalist Jesse Hasek commented of the lineup shifts:

“It’s funny. I named our last record ‘From Birth To Burial‘ because I thought it was our final record. It just didn’t feel like 10 Years without Brian and Matt, and having them back is really a reunion of the core writing team. This new record actually feels like a real rebirth for the band.”

Below you can take in a first single from the album titled “Novacaine“. Hasek said of that: “Six albums and a hundred songs in, I wondered if I’ve already written my best stuff. But at some point, you start to get real adult problems. You see people go from such optimism in their 20s to having life just beat them down later. I think we all kind of get desensitized and numb to life on some level. That’s what this song is about.” You can pre-order the album here. Current touring plans include:
