Converge have now hit the studio to begin recording 18 songs, most of which will appear on their forthcoming new album. Band drummer Ben Koller confirmed the news of the sessions below. Interestingly, it seems that a bass Eerie Von used on Danzig‘s self-titled debut album may be put to use on the sessions as it was recently loaned to Converge‘s own Nate Newton and appears in the photos below.
Presumably the effort will be tracked at guitarist Kurt Ballou‘s own GodCity Studio in Salem, MA with Ballou once again overseeing the production duties.
