Oxbow To Release New Album “Thin Black Duke” In May

Oxbow‘s first full-length album since 2007 will arrive in stores on May 05th through Hydra Head. Previously the band launched a Gofundme to try to recoup some of the estimated $40,000 they had personally invested in the effort, which is titled “Thin Black Duke“. While they were aiming for $20,000, that campaign only managed to drum up $5,888 USD. A video teasing the effort can be found below along with the track listing:

01 – “Cold And Well-Lit Place
02 – “Ecce Homo
03 – “A Gentleman’s Gentleman
04 – “Letter Of Note
05 – “Host
06 – “The Upper
07 – “Other People
08 – “The Finished Line

On an interesting side note, this may be the first new album Hydra Head Records have released in years with the label having focused solely on catalog releases since 2013. Presumably they were contractually involved when Oxbow first began work on this effort, having released it’s predecessor, 2007’s “The Narcotic Story“. However, nothing official was said on the matter regarding why the label has seemingly returned.
