The awards continue to pile up for Disturbed‘s latest album “Immortalized” and their hit cover of Simon & Garfunkel‘s “The Sound Of Silence“. The group recently received gold and platinum records in Germany (see below) for the aforementioned two releases. In Germany, 100,000 copies signifies a gold record, while 200,000 copies signifies a platinum record. Though not specified, it would appear that “Immortalized” went gold in the country with “The Sound Of Silence” going platinum.

Both the album and single have already racked up numerous awards in various different countries, including the U.S., where “Immortalized” went gold (500,000 copies) and “The Sound Of Silence” went platinum (1,000,000 copies). Digital streaming was factored into both of those sales awards.
