The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Billy Rymer Played Drums On Glassjaw’s New Album

The Dillinger Escape Plan drummer Billy Rymer revealed during a recent appearance on the ‘100 Words Of Less‘ podcast that he played drums on Glassjaw‘s upcoming new album. It’s been a long time since we had a proper update on that album, but as of this past February the it was near completion. Rymer said in part of his involvement with the band on the podcast:

“I recorded a record for them that’s probably due to come out sometime like 2036, I’m thinking [laughs.] I would think somewhere between then and… yeah. No, hopefully it will be out next year, I’m not exactly sure what… I don’t know how much they want me talking about that cause they’re very private with their stuff and their business. But I tracked a bunch of songs for them—a whole album’s worth of material—and I guess they’re just waiting to see how they’re going to release it. As far as playing live, it’s definitely a possibility.”

He also mentioned that the band had offered him various shows to play, but he was unable to due to conflicts with his schedule with The Dillinger Escape Plan. Rymer also revealed that he recently handled the studio drumming for a new release from Envy On The Coast. You can find the whole chat over at
