Update – November 26th 08:31pm: are reporting that they contacted Ivan Moody‘s sister Sandi about the news of their mother allegedly “passing on” as Ivan put it, with Sandi shutting down the story as a lie. She is quoted as saying:

“Our mother is alive and well. I believe in my personal opinion that Ivan was drunk and used that as an excuse for his horrid behavior.”

She also issued a similar statement to Mayhem Music Network:

“You can tell them that my mom is fine, and that she is healthy. That no one in my family is dying. And that I truly hope Ivan gets help for his addictions.”

It’s worth noting that Moody has allegedly had a very complicated relationship with his sister and mother in the past. As mentioned in the original story, he has also struggled with addiction issues in recent years.

Original Story:

Five Finger Death Punch cut their live show short in Worcester, MA last night, November 25th, apparently due to concerns for a family member of singer, Ivan Moody. Moody himself said from the stage that his “mother” was “passing on.” Bassist Chris Kael later took to the stage and addressed the matter onstage as well. Footage of both members addressing the crowd has surfaced below. Kael has since confirmed that the band will continue on with the tour. As he alluded to onstage, Moody himself has struggled with addiction issues in recent years.
