Temple Of The Dog (Soundgarden/Pearl Jam) Reveal 25th Anniversary Reissue & First-Ever Tour


Seattle supergroup Temple Of The Dog have announced the dates for their first-ever tour. Soundgarden‘s Chris Cornell, Pearl Jam‘s Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready will all be present for the trek, as will drummer Matt Cameron—who of course plays in both of the aforementioned bands. The trek will be mounted behind a newly re-mixed (by Brendan O’Brien) 25th anniversary reissue of their 1991 self-titled album that is being prepared for a September 30th release through UMe.

That special edition will arrive on various formats, details of which you can find here. News of the anniversary edition of the album comes after a lengthy legal dispute over the masters to the album recently concluded. Speaking of the upcoming shows, Chris Cornell offered:

“We wanted to do the one thing we never got to do… play shows and see what it feels like to be the band that we walked away from 25 years ago. This is something no one has ever seen. We wanted to stop and recognize that we did this and pay homage.”
