Megadeth paid tribute to their late ex-drummer Nick Menza with a moment of silence during last night’s performance at the ‘Rock’N Derby Festival‘ in New York. Menza died this past weekend after apparently suffering a heart attack mid-performance with his band OHM:. The following statement was posted on Menza‘s Facebook earlier today (May 23rd):
“On behalf of Nick Menza‘s family, thank you to everyone who has extended such warm and loving condolences. There will be an announcement soon on news of memorial plans and Dave Mustaine has very lovingly and graciously announced that he is planning a benefit show for Nick‘s sons.”
