Report: ‘Prophets Of Rage’ Teasing Isn’t For A Rage Against The Machine Reunion

A report running over at Rollingstone.com cites an unnamed source ‘close to the band’ stating that the ‘Prophets Of Rage’ campaign that is currently going on will not lead to a reunion of Rage Against The Machine. They quoted the source as saying:

“This is not a Rage-specific reunion. There’s a lot more to it. There are a lot of moving parts, a lot of exciting news to be revealed.”

The source further stated that the project will include “some of the members of Rage” and that live shows will also take place. Given that Public Enemy frontman Chuck D. is reportedly involved, speculation is now shifting towards a supergroup of sorts, or some sort of teamup.

Such a project wouldn’t be entirely out of character for Chuck D., who back in the year 2000 was involved in a rap-metal outfit called Confrontation Camp.
