You Can Thank A Trademark Lawsuit For The Misfits’ Reunion With Glenn Danzig


Misfits vocalist/bassist Jerry Only has spoken with about the decision to reunite with Glenn Danzig and guitarist Doyle Von Frankenstein for this years ‘Riot Fest‘ festivals. According to Only, the initial lines of communication regarding the reunion came about as part of the trademark lawsuit between Only and Danzig a few years back. Only offered:

“We went in there wanting to cut each other’s throats. It was turning into another court battle and it turned into a reunion. We walked out the door knowing we were going to play together. It’s a very cool thing.”

Only also said of his relationship with Danzig over the years:

“We were never not friends. We were just adversaries. Larry Bird might not have liked Michael Jordan on the court, but when they go out to a bar they’re cool.”
