Belphegor frontman Helmuth Lehner was confronted by a Russian Orthodox Christian activist named Anatoly Artyukh while arriving at an airport for a show in St. Petersburg, Russia yesterday, April 19th. One would presume that given his beliefs, the activist took issue with the less than Christian friendly lyrical nature of Belphegor‘s material and used the opportunity to film his confrontation as a soapbox for his own beliefs. Artyukh appears as the aggressor in the below clip, spitting on Lehner and later attempting to take a swing, before being stopped by Nile‘s Karl Sanders.
