Scott Weiland’s Ex-Wife Attempts To Claim One Of His Guitars From Studio, Police Involved


The legalities regarding the control of the estate of late Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland have taken another turn. TMZ report that Weiland‘s second wife Mary Forsberg and Scott‘s teenage son both showed up at a Burbank, CA recording studio last week and attempted to take a guitar previously owned by Scott. The studio declined and the police were called, eventually siding with the studio due to the civil nature of the dispute.

Forsberg previously penned a damning letter of Weiland‘s failures as a father and struggles with substance abuse. Forsberg has also filed to become the executor of Weiland‘s will, with her estimate of the estate/trust being $2 million. Weiland‘s third wife/widow Jamie Weiland is expected to dispute the matter, having already stated:

“I don’t know under what mattress she thinks she’s going to find $2 million, because it sure as shit isn’t here, he was broke.”

A hearing on the matter is scheduled for February 05th. Weiland passed away on December 03rd, 2015 as a result of an accidental overdose of cocaine, ecstasy and alchohol, he was 48-years-old.
