Update – December 27th 9:59am:
The release has been temporarily delayed due to a ‘security issue’—presumably for the website with which to purchase it. The release is now expected within a few days. In the meantime, a new interview about the film with director Andrew Bennett can be viewed here.
Original Story:
Back around the inception of Deftones‘ 2000 album “White Pony“, a documentary on the band was put together by filmmaker Andrew Bennett titled ‘Entertain Me: A Film About Deftones‘. It never saw an official release, though a leak of an unfinished edit of it eventually made the rounds online. December 26th will now see the release of the official version of the film, with Bennett reportedly stating:
“I am officially making it available to the most amazing fans in the world, starting 12/26/2015.
It will be 10 bucks for the FULL and CLEAN resolution download of the FINAL EDIT of this film.
Please note, that I saw the leak, and that version is so old it’s not even funny.
To recap:
ENTERTAIN me: A FILM ABOUT DEFTONES, the real, uncut, director’s final version
will be officially released on 12/26/2015.
The website is being finalized today.I hope you all enjoy it, sorry it only took 15 years to get out.”
A trailer for that can be found here.
