The toxicology results are in for late Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland. TMZ have obtained a copy of the results with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner determining that Weiland passed away as a result of an accidental overdose of cocaine, MDA (ecstasy) and alcohol. Weiland‘s history of substance abuse and addiction, as well as heart disease (atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease) and asthma played a role in his death as well. Given the array of substances found on the bus, the news is sad, though not surprising. Weiland was found found dead on his tour bus on December 03rd, 2015. He was 48-years-old.
