There have been reports and denials of drugs being found on the bus, while the Stone Temple Pilots have issued a statement.

Weiland‘s inital cause of death has been revealed. Addtionally, footage of his final live performance can be seen here. His ex-Velvet Revolver bandmates and his now former Stone Temple Pilots replacement, Linkin Park‘s Chester Bennington, have both commented on his passing.

Scott Weiland‘s official Facebook has now released the following statement on his passing:
“Scott Weiland, best known as the lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver, passed away in his sleep while on a tour stop in Bloomington, Minnesota, with his band The Wildabouts. At this time we ask that the privacy of Scott’s family be respected.”

Scott Weiland‘s wife Jamie Weiland has now confirmed the sad news of Weiland‘s passing.

TMZ are now reporting that Weiland was found dead on his tour bus in Medina, Minnesota. Weiland and his band The Wildabouts were scheduled to play the Medina Entertainment Center tonight, December 03rd. Weiland was said to be have been found deceased on the bus shortly before the band’s set. He was 48.

Reports are coming in that former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has been found dead. There’s not too much info out there yet, outside some rumors that he was allegedly found deceased on his tour bus by his manager this evening, December 03rd. A tweet from Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction fame on the matter can be found below.
