2016 ‘Soundwave Fest’ Lineup In Jeopardy Over Money Woes

It was recently revealed that the annual ‘Soundwave Festival‘ won’t be returning in 2017 by the festival’s organizer, AJ Maddah. As it turns out, there’s been some substantial problems with the upcoming 2016 incarnation as well involving money for Bring Me The Horizon and NOFX. Maddah explained via a series of tweets:

“Essentially here are the brief facts: Eventopia were supposed to give SW a scheduled advance to pay deposits to NOFX and BMTH. Their CFO changed her mind and decided not make the advance but didn’t tell anyone. so we (SW & bands) waited and waited for $. If they had informed us that scheduled funds were cancelled we could have made other arrangements. So now we are in bad situation. There have been discussions today. I”m waiting on Eventopia/Ticketek to make their decision. We cannot hold festival without their support. As soon as I hear from them, I will let you know.”

If all issues do get worked out, the 2016 edition of the festival will feature the likes of Disturbed, Deftones, Refused, Hatebreed, Failure and more.
