‘Soundwave Festival’ Won’t Return In 2017 According To Organizer

The annual ‘Soundwave Festival‘ will come to a close next year with the 2016 edition apparently set to be its last. Organizer AJ Maddah confirmed the news via a tweet which you can find below:

If this turns out to be the case, it will be another blow for the Australian festival circuit, which lost the ‘Big Day Out Festival‘ following its 2014 incarnation. The ‘Soundwave Festival‘ itself has been running since 2007 and has featured some impressive lineups over the years. Though the dates have been scaled back to three stops, the 2016 edition of the festival is no different, featuring Disturbed, Deftones, Refused, Hatebreed, Failure and more.

Killswitch Engage will also be performing “Alive Or Just Breathing” on the fest as well, while three more acts were also recently added to the bill as well: Relient K, DARKC3LL & Walls Of Jericho.
