Finland Has A Kid-Friendly Dinosaur Metal Band Called Hevisaurus


Though they’ve been around since 2009, it may come as news to many of you that there’s a Finnish dinosaur metal band named Hevisaurus who are adored by children in their native land. With seven albums of their ‘Jurassic metal’ already released, plus a deal with Sony and their own movie and more in the wings, the group have attained some surprising staying power.

Their names include Herra Hevisaurus, Milli Pilli, Komppi Momppi, Riffi Raffi and Muffi Puffi and their tale comes complete with a backstory that involves wizards, witches and being awoken by a lightning bolt—so basically, the usual origin story then.
