During Howard Jones‘ (Devil You Know/ex-Killswitch Engage) recent appearance on ‘The Jasta Show‘, both he and Hatebreed, etc. frontman Jamey Jasta playfully poked some fun at Shadows Fall for having a ‘half-gold’ sales plaque for their 2004 album, “The War Within“.
The RIAA certifies albums that sell 500,000 copies in the U.S. as a gold record. Thus, this particular plaque was put together by the bands camp to signify 250,000 copies sold. Having heard the podcast himself, Shadows Fall frontman Brian Fair took the internet to share the below picture of said plaque. If anything Fair will have the last laugh as very few metal bands even make it to 250,000 copies sold, with plaques often now independently being made up for far lesser sales milestones.
