Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger and frontman Brandon Boyd have begun writing new material for the bands next album. Einziger tells Radio.com:

“Me and Brandon have been scheming the last couple of weeks. There’s definitely going to be new music. It probably won’t happen until next year but it’s happening.”

He went on to add:

“…You know everybody’s got a lot of things going on but we’re slowly bringing out focus back to the band and everybody’s excited about it because we’ve had enough time away from it to where it’s exciting for everyone. There’s definitely some really great stuff coming.”

“Our plan as of now is put new music out probably early enough in the year that we would be set up to go out and do full touring in the summertime of next year.”

You can hear some new music from Einziger right now however. Today saw the release of his charity collaboration single with Blink-182‘s Travis Barker, Pharrell Williams, Hans Zimmer and more. Proceeds from that song, titled “‘Til Everyone Can See” are earmarked for ‘Red Card To Child Labour‘. You can listen to it now at this location.
