Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz was asked by Metal Injection about his still forthcoming project with Cannibal Corpse frontman George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher and ex-The Black Dahlia Murder drummer Shannon Lucas. On that, he offered:
“I just tracked a bunch of overdub guitars when I was hope and I had to stop because I’m [on tour]. It looks like George is going to come up in December to do some vocals. There is no real timeline on it. We’re just working on it whenever we can. When we’re done with it, we’re done with it.”
Elaborating further on the project’s origins, he also stated:
“To be honest with you, he’s always been one of my favorite singers. I just love the way sound comes out of his big throat. When we toured with them on Mayhem Fest, that’s when I started talking to him and drinking with him. And I said, ‘Dude, what if I were to write a record for you? Would you sing on it?’ and he’s just like ‘Yup!’ and then I said ‘ok, stand by, I’ll send you some tracks in a couple of months’ and then I just wrote the record”
