Pig Destroyer will be pay tribute to Relapse Records‘s late Director Of Retail Sales, Pat Egan, with the release of a previously unheard EP titled “Mass & Volume“. The band originally wrote and recorded the material for the outing on the final day of the “Phantom Limb” sessions; but due to lineup changes, etc., decided against releasing it. All proceeds from the effort—which is now available digitally at this location—will go towards the college fund of Egan‘s daughter Katie.
Egan passed away on February 18th, 2013 after suffering from pneumonia and related complications. Direct donations to his family can be made via [email protected]. Meanwhile, a memorial event in his honor will be held tomorrow, March 05th, at the Idle Hands Bar in New York, NY from 6:00pm to 9:00pm EST.
