Mad Season‘s previously-unreleased track “Locomotive” can now be streamed online over at Rollingstone.com. The song was originally written for the outfit’s then planned sophomore album which they never managed to complete. It features newly-recorded vocals from Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees/Queens Of The Stone Age, etc. fame.
“Locomotive” is one of the handul of revisited tracks which will appear on the upcoming 2xCD/1xDVD deluxe reissue of the groups sole album, 1995’s “Above“. That format will see an April 02nd release with a vinyl pressing due on April 20th for Record Store Day. In their original incarnation, Mad Season of course featured members of Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and more.
