Shadows Fall drummer Jason Bittner will be sitting out the bands immediate touring due to his acute Pancreatitis. Not content to miss any further shows, the group have tapped Trumpet The Harlot‘s Brandon Lundeen and Thy Will Be Done‘s Jay Waterman to fill in on drums for him. Both acts are on the bill for Shadows Fall‘s “Party To The Apocalypse Tour” along with God Forbid.
Bittner himself offered the following update on the situation:
“As of last week I was told to rest for one more week and then as long as I’m feeling better, I can resume starting to play again in order to recoup and rejoin the tour- at this present time it’s hard to say exactly when I will be 110%, maybe a week, maybe 2, maybe even longer, but rest assured I will be doing my best to get back as soon as humanly possible without chancing a relapse. I appreciate all the well-wishing and support, so in my absence please still go and support my other bandmates and the Party to the Apocalypse tour!” I shall return” – Jason
