Suicide Silence Guitarist And Winds Of Plague Frontman Bid Farewell To Mitch Lucker

Suicide Silence guitarist Mark Heylmun recently took to his Instragram to post the following fond farewell to his departed bandmate, Suicide Silence frontman Mitch Lucker:

“Today is a new beginning. This was the last picture we took together the morning of your birthday. We partied real good and stayed in a hotel and woke up to mystery shoes so we held them bitches hostage.

I can’t express how much I miss you but as all of us mourn I still feel you here and you always will be here. Whenever I wanna talk to you I will speak to you and I know you’ll hear me, whenever I’m alone I know I’m not alone, and whenever I’m riffing I know you’re helping me make it better.

The times we had were some that most people could only dream of and some would straight up be afraid of and I will never forget them for the rest of my life. Mitch you are my brother and I love you, I’ll never stop missing you, and I’ll never let you down. @mitchypoosays #ripmitchlucker”

Lucker, who passed away last week as a result of a motorcycle accident, was laid to rest yesterday, November 08th. Winds Of Plague vocalist Johnny Plague has since shared a photo (also available below) from the gathering that took place after the funeral service and the following words to accompany it:

“Old friends reuniting to celebrate the life of a fallen friend. Mitch was alot of things to alot of people but i will always remember him as a passionate, kind, amazing person who loved life and changed the game of heavy music. Every single new band, whether they know it or not is influenced by Mitch and Suicide Silence. Although today we made our peace and said goodbye to Mitch we keep him with us everyday, every time we take the stage. Legends never die.”

The remaining members of the band have launched an official benefit/donation page for Lucker‘s daughter, Kenadee Lucker at
