A funeral service for Suicide Silence‘s Mitch Lucker was held today, November 08th. The ceremony was attended by family and friends—and judging by social networks, a number of band members as well.
Lucker‘s Suicide Silence bandmate Dan Kenny tweeted the following of the service earlier today:
“Had to bury my brother today, he looked peaceful when I saw him. It was very hard but it was needed! To the fans just know Mitch loved yall”
Sumerian Records founder Ash Avildsen was apparently among those in attendance, sharing this picture of the funeral program. Avildsen also later tweeted that anger, rather than alcohol, may have been what ultimately led to Lucker‘s tragic motorcycle accident, which took his life this past Halloween, October 31st. He was 28 years old.
The remaining members of the band have launched an official benefit/donation page for Lucker‘s daughter, Kenadee Lucker at Suicidesilence.net.
