Children Of Bodom are readying a CD/DVD career retrospective release dubbed “Holiday At Lake Bodom (15 Years Of Wasted Youth)” in honor of their 15 year anniversary as a band. The effort will highlight various tracks from throughout their career and also feature two newly-recorded, as-yet unspecified cover songs.
The DVD portion of the set will feature footage from the bands world touring along with the unreleased music video for the song “Shovel Knockout“.
Band vocalist/guitarist Alexi Laiho had the following to say about the offering, which will see a release overseas on May 21st (North American release pending):
“‘15 Years Of Wasted Youth‘ is the sound of Children Of Bodom working hard, partying hard, being relentless and stubborn. We went through many brick walls to get to where we are, and after seven studio albums, two live albums, non-stop touring, bleeding and breaking a lot of bones, I think we are justified in putting this album out. Let the music speak for itself. You have been warned.”
