Megadeth frontman/guitarist Dave Mustaine is scheduled to undergo surgery this week. The procedure will come as a result of a neck injury sustained over the years which was recently aggravated during the bands stint on the “Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival“.
A video update from Mustaine on his situation can be found below courtesy of Rollingstone.com. A two month recovery period is tentatively expected with some of the bands shows being adjusted to accommodate the healing process.
The bands new album “TH1RT3EN” is expected to continue on as planned however, arriving in stores on November 01st through Roadrunner.
