Every Time I Die Reportedly In Legal Hot Water Over Faked Tweets

Every Time I Die look to have found themselves in some legal trouble after posting a series of faked “RT” tweets from various celebrities which promoted their forthcoming “New Junk Aesthetic“/”Shit Happens: The Series?” release which is due out on October 26th through Epitaph.

The tweets, which were posted on the bands official Twitter, saw the group fake RT’d tweets purported to be from the likes of Justin Bieber, P. Diddy, Roger Ebert and a number of other celebrities. Some examples of the faked tweets can be found below:

“dude, anytime! RT @JimmyFallon @everytimeidie this is brilliant, you guys need to come play my show to promote your new dvd!”

“for sure it will my man! RT @justinbieber: if I don’t have pubes by oct 26th, I’m sure the ETID DVD will give me a whole mess of em, yo!”

If some of the latest postings on the bands Twitter account are to be believed, the group have since been served with cease and desist papers as a result of the hijinks. Speaking on the situation the following post was offered:

“thanx for the support, glad so many people enjoyed our fake tweets but we can’t comment further on the legal troubles its caused, stay posi!”
