Skinlab have been rejoined by guitarist Mike Roberts. He replaces Brian Jackson, who has exited the band to focus on his other group, Kreep. Skinlab frontman/bassist Steev Esquivel commented on the situation with the following statement:
“Hey everyone Steev here, as we gear up for a few shows in California i thought it’s time to drop some more news to keep ya’ll up to date in the world of Skinlab
First off we’d like to announce that our brother Mike Roberts has rejoined Skinlab and has been hard at work learning new material as well as some oldies that we haven’t busted out since Mike‘s departure in 98’
Needless to say we are all totally stoked to have Mike back. He was such a huge part of the Skinlab sound and is sure to reestablish is style again as we start writting for the next Skinlab album this summer.
We’d like to thank Brian Jackson for his hard work and dedication to the band. Keep an eye out Brian as will continue to record and tour with his band Kreep….. we wish him nothing but the best….thanks homey!
As far as touring plans, we have select shows that we’ve been putting together in the U.S, a couple festivals in Europe this summer and will be heading over to S America for a few shows as well.
Since Mike‘s return the last few weeks we have gotten tons of support from our friends and piers, everyone seems as excited as us ….who know what the futures holds…..we’ll see!!!”
