Maynard James Keenan Had Little To Say About Tool’s New Album Reportedly Landing In 2018

Tool fans had reason to rejoice last week after it was revealed that drummer Danny Carey stated that the band’s long-awaited fifth-studio album would finally arrive in 2018. If so, that would of course make for a very busy year for the band’s frontman Maynard James Keenan.

Not only would Keenan be out supporting the forthcoming new A Perfect Circle album, he’d also have various Tool commitments to attend to as well. Notably, select festivals that were recently announced will find Keenan pulling double duty with the two outfits.

This past July, Keenan discussed the lengthy songwriting process for Tool and his having to wait for his bandmates to be finished with the music before jumping into the process. That said, his response to a fan on social media regarding the validity of Carey‘s assertion that the album will land next year wasn’t particularly encouraging. Then again, with Keenan, you just never know.
