Bloomberg have shared a video tour of one of the last facilities still manufacturing cassette tapes, National Audio Company in Springfield, MO. It’s a somewhat fascinating look at the persistence of the format, with the plant stating that it has recently experienced its best year since opening in 1969. They credit the success to the return of the music industry to the format. Among the albums that have run through the facility are Metallica‘s ‘No Life ’til Leather’ cassette and the ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy‘ soundtrack.
