Opeth And Katatonia To Tour North America This Spring
It should come as little surprise that Opeth and Katatonia are planning to make their previously ill-fated U.S. tour together a reality this year. The pair will be out on the road together this spring as part of “North American Heritage Tour 2013“.
Thus far a May 10th date at The Machine Shop in Flint, MI has surfaced. A proper announcement of the tour is expected to be made this week

I saw Opeth last year and Mikael was apparently no longer screaming. I hope that has changed. I loved the songs they played, it was a great show, but it was borderline unplugged.
Doubtful. He seems to be heading more and more in that direction. His new stuff with Steven Wilson was pretty underwhelming.
He said in a interview he wants to play some heavier stuff this tour.
seems like theres no bad blood between Mikael and the katatonia guys which is rad seeing how Mikael left bloodbath. but @ Gordon by heavier stuff I hope they collaborate and play the fathomless mastery in full. hey, a guy can always dream right?! opeth and katatonia fucking owe it to us to do a few bloodbath tracks.
A couple years ago when these two toured together, they didn’t do it at my show but I know for a fact they did a few Bloodbath songs on some stops. Would’ve been mindblowing to see after such a mellow set from Opeth.
