Rammstein are in the running for a headlining slot on the 2013 “Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival“. The festival’s producer/co-founder John Reese told Idahotstatesmen.com that he was unsuccessful in getting the band on the bill in recent years, and that he was going to “try like hell” to get them onboard for next year.

I love when shitty bands headline. I saw Deftones open for Godsmack. Got home with ease. I remember walking out as people were taking their seats like “Enjoy your Godsmack”
I’ve been to probably over a 100 concerts in my life and I recently saw Rammstein for the first time and they were immediately in my top 5 of live shows. You clearly have never seen them because if you did you would understand how good live they are. They sound perfect, better than the album. They play nearly everything you want to hear and don’t mess around the cheesy “Is everybody having a good time tonight?” bullshit. Of course they would be the headliner because no one would ever follow them. Except Tool, but that show would never happen because people’s heads would explode from excitement.
Or go back to ’98 when Korn attempted to headline over them for the entirety of the Family Values tour
Carlosfranco…I’ve seen them twice, not by choice. I wasn’t the slightest bit impressed. I would rather watch Bieber do his thing. If they played “everything you (I) want(ed) to hear”, they would simply walk out, kick over a mic stand and immediately leave the stage.

Came in between Puddle of Mudd and Deftones. To be honest I don’t even remember them being on the tour. Walked in as the lights went off for Deftones and left right after.

Rammstein have hands down the greatest stage show I’ve ever seen. I saw them in May for the first time and it was by far one of the top 5 shows I’ve ever attended. Problem is, Rammstein could EASILY go play in Europe and sell-out stadiums. They don’t garner American crowds like they would if they headlined a solo show or a festival overseas. Rammstein is also MILES better than an over-the-hill Marilyn Manson, nu-metal Korn, Disturbed are one of the worst bands of all-time and Slipknot are watchable but still nothing great. I would actually be excited to see a headlining act for the first time.
Marilyn Manson has seen better days live, but he’s still better than Rammstein. I actually enjoy Rammstein, and have seen them live. It bordered on ridiculous, you spent half the time laughing, with the fake sex acts,and the fake flaming bow and arrow. Manson is the real deal. In his prime he was one of the greatest frontmen ever. On the Antichrist Superstar tour you were actually frightened for your well-being. Those shows were something special.
Those shows were also 15 years ago. Rammstein’s still got it, while Manson limps along.
I saw Rammstein on Family Values ’98, they were so over-the-top (and I’m not talking about the 1987 masterpiece where Sly Stone wins custody of his kid in an arm-wrestling match), that it bordered on cheesy. I understand why some people like it, some people like Michael Bay movies too.
You realize Rammstein’s headlining shows now are completely different than what you saw on Family Values 98, right? I suggest going to youtube and looking at footage from their recent U.S. tour.
Man, I really hope these people trashing Rammstein for using dildo’s on stage are not GWAR, or Shat fans. Rammstein has a great live show, and they sound really good live as well. I would love to see a Rammstein/GWAR/Shat tour that would be Epic.

I love Rammstein and would love to see them live. Sadly, I have no desire to go to one of these energy drink festivals full of drunken douche-bags and white-trash just to see them. Same reason I never bothered with an Ozzfest (save for one of the off-dates back in 2001).

Please let this be true. Rammstein are my favorite band in the entire world. I am 30 years old and have seen them 28 times wich include Family Values Tour 98 and going over seas in 1998 to attend Live Aus Berlin at Parkbune Wuldheide and their LIFAD Tour shows at the same venue.For those who are bashing Rammstein here you obviously never seen them live as they are the best live band in the world.Their sound and music is way better LIVE than on an album and second of all the only reason why you bash Rammstein is because you obviously LACK the mental capacity and intelligence to open your minds and broaden your horizons to different music from around the world as it you are too close minded to even appreaciate music thats sung in another language and not your native tongue of English. Rammsteins music is unlike any other band on Earth as the band takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions with their amazing riffs with Richard Kruspe and Paul Landers on guitar and Oliver Riedel on Bass as well as Doom Schneider on drums delivering powerful beats that thunder to the crowd and get the crowd going. Christian Flake Lorenz is probably one of the greatest keyboaders on the planet while lead singer Till Lindemann captures and intoxicates the audience with his beautiful and amazing voice as well as deep and poetic lyrics.If you have never seen Rammstein LIVE or even picked up an album you really dont have any room to even judge them. They keep getting better with age and only a handful of bands including Rammstein have stood the test of time.I have been a die hard fan of Rammstein for 18 years now and even learned the German language so I can understand their lyrics and to communicate with them in their native language if I ever got a chance to meet them.That band has owned my heart for many years.Rammsteins shows are beautiful,magical and amazing that leave you in awe.
