Between The Buried And Me To Hit The Studio In May

Between The Buried And Me will enter the studio in May to begin recording their new outing with longtime co-conspirator Jamie King handling the production duties. The news was revealed through a recent interview with King over at Killthemusic.net.

When asked whether or not it was true he was once again working with Between The Buried And Me on their next release, King replied:

“Yeah, BTBAM are schedule to come in in May. We’ve been working together so long that it’s like family getting together for a project. Just like hangin out with friends and making music as it should be. It’s always enjoyable with then as they are great people and great players. Just a little stressful for me as I don’t want to let them down and the stakes are getting higher and higher with those guys. Stuff needs to get better and better so it pushes me to keep improving my skills and gear.”

OK, now a month ago, you posted that they were already in the studio working on Parallax 2. Are they talking about going into the studio in May to work on Parallax 2, or is this a proper album?

That last article just said they began working on it, which doesn’t necessarily mean they specifically started recording yet.

God dammit I was soo happy they recorded the Paralax without Jamie King. It’s a shame they’re going back to him.

actually Jamie King did mixing, mastering, additional production on the album..it was in the liner notes

Well as long as the snare drum doesn’t sound like a piece of paper is being hit like it did on Colors, then I guess I’m okay with it. I guess he did do quite a bit better on the production of The Great Misdirect.

Parallax was fucking awesome. Can’t wait to hear more. Jamie King’s done an awesome job with them in the past, no reason to expect him at the board to be anything other than good.
