and then people bitch about all the piracy that’s killing the record industry..
perhaps the real pirates are the labels, trying to rip off both ends – the bands and the fans?
I guess the thing is that nowadays, most labels don’t do much but pay for the studio costs, print a record and take care of promotion and that’s about it.
A Day to Remember need to leave this label, their the only ok band I can think of on it.
You, Sir, have obviously never heard Design the Skyline. If not, I highly recommend that you check them out. They are the epitome of true, blistering American Metal…TOTALLY BRUTAL, D00D!!!!
You sir are a douche-nozzle.
You hit the nail on the head!
No need to put “allegedly.” Once a complaint is filed, the lawsuit is official.
I wish the link actually included “Exhibit A,” which is supposed to be the band’s contract. I would love to see what that entails.
Yeah, I would have loved that, too. Sounds as if the “contract” was absolutely hilarious.
I wonder if Victory started signing all of these bullshit, teen Punk/Metal bands, because they knew they could exploit them and not pay them? You know damn well they would have never not paid Strife. Strife would have fucked them up!
The difference in quality between Victory’s currently signed bands and previously signed bands is night and day. I’d say the best band on the label now is The Sleeping.
yeah, definitely, its pretty bad when a band as mediocre as atreyu would be the best band on victory if it was still on it
So basically they’re just following suit with EVERY band who’s ever been on this label?
When will bands learn to not sign with this garbage fucking label.
Some may not have other options. I imagine it’s how Rodney Stuckey feels right now.
