Why in the hell would they ever want to come to Newark, NJ of all places in the dirty jerz? I’m not gonna question it, though. I live 20 minutes away. Sweet.
What, no Shinedown? Horseshit.
No Canadian dates? WOOOOO!!!
I’m fairly certain Sevendust has just said “fuck it” and are now going to try to make as much money as possible and call it a day in a few years. Carnival of Madness, Music as a Weapon, and then Welcome to the Family back-to-back-to-back seems very un-Sevendust. I’d see this for cheap, but not sure if I would make the drive out to San Antonio for it. I’ve seen everyone but 3DG, and I can’t say they’re on my radar.
good christ, the Prudential Center in NJ!? FUCK that embarrasses me. Will not be there, couldn’t pay me to be in that room. @TMNox – what other stadium are they supposed to play in NJ? I mean, I would prefer it none, but Newark is the only real indoor arena to play in NJ.

3DG on this tour is stupid
@ adam I don’t know if Sevendust is motivated by money at this point. Would they really make that much more acting as an opening band on a large tour as opposed to headlining their own club tour? I’m not so sure. I think they just miss playing in front of large crowds like they often did in their prime. I’m not going to hate on them too much for it. Their last two albums (don’t even know the names) and seasons were complete shit, but they’ve given me enough good shit to listen to over the years that I’ll always have a little bit of love for them. It’s unfortunate though, if they were headlining a club tour I might actually pay to see them one last time.
@zomgpapi
It sounds like you are implying that the other bands on this tour make good music. Which is false, except for Home-era Sevendust.
There’s a few good tracks from all of the recent albums, but S/T, Home, and Animosity are all amazing records.
Worst…..tour…….ever
I think I’m the only one of this site that never liked Sevendust but my closest claim to “nu metal” was Snot.
sevendust is freaking cool! I grew up listening to ‘Home’ and ‘Sevendust’. awesome awesome live band. they have lots of history with Snot too. and personally like all their albums! their second to last one ‘Alpha’ was hella good. FUCK 3dg FUCK A7F and especially FUCK bfmv.
@ Afghanistam, Agreed, Alpha was surprisingly good and I think Sonny Mayo had a lot to do with it. I thought they made two albums since then, but I could be wrong. I haven’t really paid much attention.
@HonoluluBlueBalls Alpha was already wrote and 90% recorded with Clint when Sonny came in. His contribution was Chapter VII. And you are right. Since Alpha it has been 2 albums Chapter VII and Cold Day Memory.
Such a random tour. I sure as hell wouldn’t drive to S.A. for 3DG.
@ mrvictorick. I’m not going to say you’re wrong, because it sounds like you know more about the history of the album than I do, but that seems odd to me because Sonny was involved in the writing for Next, which came out prior to Alpha, and Chapter VII, which came out after. So apparently they started writing Alpha before Sonny joined and shelved it, then finished it after Next? Strange.
Fuck yeah!!
i cant wait till they come to San Antonio!!!!!! XD
