Years in the making with two failed design attempts behind it, the new site is finally here. Hopefully it doesn’t melt down and die within days. But for now, feel free to use this post to discuss the new design, voice your concerns and or praises and point out any potential issues you may encounter. Aside from that, take a look around, enjoy and pretend that anything covered here is still relevant. That or pretend nu-metal is going to come back.

The layout looks nice, the red text on black background kind of hurts the eyes, but its a smooth design and usability looks good.
Awesome, I love it. From the logo to the layout and color scheme. Great job! I’ve been coming here since American Nightmare was a relevant band and Hellfest was held indoors. With comments and a forum, this place might be my new home.

I THINK EVERYTHING IS VERY NICE LOOKING NOW AFTER THE MANY YEARS, HOWEVER PLEASE LIST THE NEWS LIKE IT WAS ORIGINALLY LISTED. and yes caps were a must in this situation.
what happened to the awesome news titles that kept making me come back for more?.. i loved that, and have no interest whatsoever in reading plain, boring titles that make reading the news pretty much unnecessary.
other than that, my only complain is that the header’s huge, but i can live with that.. so nice work on the much needed update!

When i woke up this morning and check the news on ThePRP, i said :”OMFG, my time machine works and it’s April 1st; wookubus is fooling around with the website!” Did i said i drink a lot last night…. Nice job here Wookubus. The new site look great!
But i must admit that the late 90′s/early 00′s look of the old wesite will miss me… a little…

It’s refreshing to see that other douchebags have relied on this site for so long. To think, when I started suckling on theprp teet I was 13, complete with excessive hairgel spikiness and a tendency to wear spiked collars while cranking Relative Ash. Thanks for not giving up what I rely on as a daily ritual, and the new look is fresh, like your girlfriend getting a face-tat.

My friend introduced me to this site several years ago. I won’t lie, I check it everyday. It’s the best website for everything music related in my eyes. When I clicked on the link earlier I thought it was a mistake. Obviously it’s not. Nice work on the new look. Thanks for keeping us all informed on what really matters in life, music! Take care man!

One change I would make.
Make the text font bigger. It seems to small and basic. With the higher res screens, I think it makes it hard to read.
Other than that, I think it serves its purpose, after all, it is an information gathering site, the content is what matters!

used to check this site for ages now, honestly i’m not a big fan of the new layout. while the coloring and stuff seems okay, i find it quite sad that the “funny” news titles are gone AND one has to check several pages to get the news of one day. as i check this page at least once a day i thought it was great you always had an immediate overview of what happened.

I was pretty surprised when I saw the new design. I’ve been coming to this site for years and I always read about you guys wanting to redesign the site but it never happened for whatever reasons. Now that it happened, I have to say it looks really good.

I dig the technological step-up, but I must demand the resurrection of the humorous, punny article titles, as well as the random funny website headers (like “World’s largest selection of mall-core, complete with food court”).

Theprp’s always been the more serious site among the ones I check out daily. The reviews have been very well written and I’ve mostly agreed with them. The new design is great and very easy to navigate. Hopefully fights of who’s the most “core” band etc. will be fought in the messageboard and not on the news posts. Well… one can dream, right?

FLAW!!!! I still got that on my old ass ipod too. hah. Didn’t they have the video where they sung atop the giant stage made out of the letters of their name? Or did they have the vid shot in 16×9 video format where at the end the song reaches to the screen and grabs the “letterbox frame” to sing the final part?

Looks great! Love this place. Without it, don’t know if I ever would have heard of Earthtone9 or Postman Syndrome. Probably about a dozen others, but those are the two most influential ones that come to mind. Hope to see the Learning Curve come back. I loved that section!!

Wowzers! I am having some very mixed feelings at the moment, I have been coming here for the better part of a decade and rather enjoyed the absence of twitter/ faceook/ etc. That being said, I think like the changes. Everything looks great and I am excited to get used to the new site.
