All That Remains' Phil Labonte: "Just Because I'm Not Gay Or Black Doesn't Mean That I Should Be Excluded..."

All That Remains frontman Phil Labonte appeared on MSNBC‘s ‘The Docket‘ to discuss some of his more controversial viewpoints and elaborate on recent statements made, including his LGBT/black community firestorm. At one point Labonte was called out by host Seema Iyer for his usage of homophobic slurs to which he replied:

“Just because I’m not gay or black doesn’t mean that I should be excluded from having any kind of comment on society or social commentary.”

Earlier in the conversation Labonte did admit to openly expressing his more controversial views to “stir the pot.” The full segment is an interesting watch and even features a cameo from Theprp.com. All That Remains will release a new album “The Order Of Things” on February 24th.
