Update – November 20th 2:04pm:
The video is now being denied as being sanctioned by Marilyn Manson, though prior comments made to the press by director Eli Roth seemed to have indicate otherwise. Manson‘s PR said of ths clip:
“Manson did not direct this, shoot it, nor was it for a Marilyn Manson video or outtake footage made by him or to be used by him with his music. It must be a fan video splicing up old Manson video footage with someone else’s Lana Del Rey footage.”
Original Story:
Awhile back Marilyn Manson had tapped director/actor Eli Roth (“Hostel“, “Inglorious Basterds“) to put together footage for an apparent music video, which they ultimately shelved due to its controversial nature. That clip saw singer Lana Del Ray sexually assaulted, amongst other freakish happenings, and only a portion of the footage from it came to light.
A sizeable chunk of that feature has now been released online and can be viewed below. Manson himself will be releasing a new album titled “The Pale Emperor” on January 20th.
