System Of A Down drummer John Dolmayan is trucking along with progress on his forthcoming solo/covers album, offering the following about it earlier today (December 09th):
“work on my as yet untitled solo/ covers album is going well, we’ve completed basic structure and beats for 8 songs so far. I’ll update you as more develops”
You can rule at least one band which he will be covering. When asked by a fan if Slayer will be covered on the album, he replied:
“Slayer should never be covered, theres no way to improve their songs”
When asked by a fan about the status of a new System Of A Down album, his response was:
“when there is one in the works I’ll mention it.”
