Battlecross drummer Mike Kreger has left the band in order to “focus on some new opportunities and attend to personal business.” In turn, the band have recruited the services of Kevin Talley (Six Feet Under, ex-Chimaira) for their scheduled appearances at this years ‘New England Metal & Hardcore Festival‘ and the ‘Orion Music + More‘ festival.
Of the opportunity, Talley stated:
“I’m stoked to play these shows with such an energetic and impressive band like Battlecross. I had a chance to see them play on Trespass America and at the Scion A/V Metal Blade Anniversary Show and was blown away! New England Metal Fest and Orion Music + More are huge opportunities for the band and I’m honored to fill in behind the kit, they are definitely one of my favorite new bands!”
Recording sessions for a new studio album from Battlecross recently kicked off with producer Mark Lewis (DevilDriver, The Black Dahlia Murder) . In addition to that, the band are also attempting to crowdfund their planned touring this summer. Further details on that can be found here.
