Nü-metal icon Fred Durst has announced his new campaign, for something… Recalling shades of Kid Rock‘s senate run publicity stunt, the Limp Bizkit frontman has launched a new social media site via @votedurst, where he offered, “Well, just when you thought things couldn’t get any worse, it’s time to vote Durst. I wanna get to the bottom of all this bullshit. I’m running.”
A bio on his newly launched social media profile went on to add, “My name is Fred Durst and I want to make our world a better place… so, I’m running.” Of course, Durst has yet to indicate exactly what he is running for, leaving his apparent campaign open-ended. Whether or not it ties into new music that has been in the works by the band, or something else, remains to be seen.
