Foo Fighters once again shared the stage with AC/DC last night, October 02nd, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. This show, which was previously rescheduled due to inclement weather, presented yet another opportunity for Foo Fighters vocalist Dave Grohl to live out some of his childhood dreams.

Grohl has previously waxed poetic about the Australian hard rockers. During Foos‘ set last night, he further opened up on how pivotal the band have been to him, stating:

“When I was 11 years old, I went to a midnight movie, and I saw ‘Let There Be Rock‘ movie, in a fucking movie theater, at 11 years old, I didn’t know that rock ‘n’ roll could be like that. I didn’t know that rock ‘n’ roll was sweat, and blood, and fucking tears, and every ounce of energy you have. Fuckin’ Phil Rudd breaking snare drums, and Angus sucking oxygen on the side of the stage. I saw that movie when I was 11 years old, and I was like, ‘I wanna do that for the rest of my fucking life.’ So, here we are.”

As you can see for yourself in the below fan-filmed footage, Grohl later got the invite to join AC/DC onstage, taking on guest guitar and backing vocals for a performance of the hard rock classic “Highway To Hell“.
