Metalcore outfit As I Lay Dying have taken now officially taken the wraps off their new self-titled studio album, after details for it leaked out early. That band was once again rebuilt in 2025 by divisive vocalist Tim Lambesis, this time from the ground up,. They will have that record out on February 05th via Napalm Records.
Lambesis and bassist/vocalist Chris Clancy co-produced this effort, which sports ten new tracks. Two of those songs, “Polarized” and “Retribution” have both just debuted online, after having previously been teased as potential inclusions on the record. Per the officially announced track listing, they will both make the cut.
01 – “Satellites“
02 – “Echoes“
03 – “Relentless“
04 – “The Cost To Stay“
05 – “Polarized“
06 – “Retribution“
07 – “A Heart Meant To Break“
08 – “No Way Out“
09 – “If I Fall“
10 – “After The Storm“
Pre-orders are available through lnk.to/AILD-AsILayDying. The band collectively stated of these new singles:
“‘Polarized‘ and ‘Retribution‘ show two very different sides of what we’ve been creating. One leans more melodic, while the other is darker, faster, and heavier, with much of the record living somewhere between the two. Despite how different they are, both still feel rooted in what As I Lay Dying is. We’re excited for people to hear them and to bring this new chapter of the band on the road in February.”
The band also weighed in on the album as well, offering:
“Making this the first self-titled As I Lay Dying album felt significant because the record feels like both a continuation and a reset. We weren’t trying to recreate one era of the band or force the songs into a narrow definition of what AILD should sound like. We wanted to bring together everything we naturally gravitate toward: melody, aggression, speed, heaviness, emotion, atmosphere, and big riffs, while making sure every song still felt unmistakably like As I Lay Dying.”
Update: September 15th, 2026 08:20am:
As I Lay Dying have now launched official videos for each new track, and also announced an early 2027 U.S. tour with Immortal Disfigurement. That deathcore band, like As I Lay Dying, have had a controversial past. Prior to joining Immortal Disfigurement, their singer CJ McCreery was fired from Lorna Shore in 2019 amid allegations made against him by several women. He went on to publicly deny them.
